Holiday Home Savinja

General

Built in 2014, Holiday Home Savinja is located on a slope with a wide view over the river Savinja and the mountain village Luce. On the edge of the surrounding forests, with the pleasant murmur of the small river nearby, it is an ideal place for a relaxing vacation. The house is equipped for up to 5 people. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, a bedroom with a bunk bed, and a bathroom with toilet and shower.

Downstairs there is a large living room with TV and cosy sitting area, a modern kitchen and a second bathroom with shower and toilet. From the living room you can reach the sauna via the balcony. On the covered balcony, overlooking the valley, village and Savinja River, there is a modern hardwood garden set. Internet is available.

This is a peaceful place to relax and recharge, and also a good base for hiking and cycling with views of the Southern Alps.

Surroundings

The centre of Luce, with two supermarkets, bars, gostilnas and terraces, is about a 10-minute walk from the paved road. The well-known restaurant Raduha is also nearby. A few kilometres further down the valley you reach the Savinja Valley nature area, where you can make beautiful hiking and cycling tours. In the direction of Ljubno you can visit Snezna Jama, an ice cave reached by mountain road and stairs into the mountain.

From Luce you can drive in about 30 minutes to Velika Planina, a mountain plateau with shepherd huts and wide views. The area also offers guided walks, canyoning, mountain biking, rafting, canoeing and paragliding.

Location

The village of Luce is in the Upper Savinja Valley, which stretches from Letus towards the Austrian border at Pavlicevo Sedlo. The Savinja River rises in the Alps, and the local timber rafting history is still remembered during the annual Flosarski fest in Ljubno ob Savinji. From Luce it is possible to reach Ljubljana in about an hour by mountain road.
